Event calls for action to decrease carbon dioxide in atmosphere

More than 100 students gathered on Tulane’s campus Saturday for the 350 rally, aimed at promoting environmental awareness on campus. The rally’s name refers to the 350 parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that scientists say is the safe upper limit.

Tulane goes to Washington

Students participate in march for gay rights

Thousands of people participated in the National Equality March Oct. 11 in Washington, D.C. to petition for equality for gay, lesbian and transgender individuals.

Many Tulane students, who received a grant from Tulane, attended the event.  The Office of Multicultural Affairs also helped fund the trip.

First-time fair advertises local service opportunities

Many students attended the Volunteer Fair in the LBC Monday.
The fair informed students of volunteer opportunities around New Orleans. Hands On New Orleans, the American Red Cross, Green Light New Orleans and many other organizations were on-hand to discuss their service efforts.
