The 'Voice' Coach Writes a Heartfelt Letter to the Contestants Who Have Been Eliminated
Going into the season 21 finale of NBC's "The Voice," Ariana Grande is a coach without a team.
Her last remaining act, father and son duo Jim and Sasha Allen, were eliminated during the semi-finals results episode that aired on Tuesday, December 7,2021, after a long season in which she tried her hardest to get her artists further in the competition.
Coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend are fortunate in that they each have at least one artist left in the competition.
Both Shelton and Clarkson were able to bring two artists all the way to the finals.
Team Kelly contestant Hailey Mia was previously on Team Ariana, but Kelly stole her during the Knockout Round.
Grande took to Twitter after all of her contestants were eliminated to express her feelings.
"It's the end of the season for Team Ariana!" she wrote.
"I am bursting with pride for him and Sasha and everyone from -hashtag-teamariana.... to have met andamp; worked with such brilliant artists is the greatest gift and honor of all of this. I can't believe there was a time when I didn't know you all."
"Itandrsquo;s truly just the beginning for all of these brilliant humans. Iandrsquo;ll be here forever," she continued. "Thank you for enriching my life in ways I canandrsquo;t even begin to articulate. Your presence and this entire experience has brought me so much joy and fulfillment creatively and personally."
She went on to say that the night was a celebration of her hard work and brilliance as an artist.
"Not a single moment of this has been easy on any of you mentally, physically, vocally," she wrote in a follow-up tweet. "Thank you for changing my life for the better. -hashtag-teamariana4lifeandwhatevercomesafter."
The superstar also expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her and her team throughout the "insane, beautiful, and incredibly challenging" process.
Sasha Allen tweeted about his time on the show after the Instant Save battle, where her artists competed, and expressed his delight that Jershika Maple, a contestant from Team Legend in the Instant Save, won.
Allen tweeted, "never expected to make it that far."
"What an incredible gift; I am the luckiest person on the planet!"
