Erika Jayne Posts Another Mysterious Message on Instagram

Despite what's going on in her personal life, Erika Jayne has been very active on social media. On November 11, 2021, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star took to Instagram Stories to share a somewhat ominous statement.

"And that's show business, kid," Erika wrote. The message, which is based on a song from "Chicago," was shared shortly after midnight local time and came with no further explanation. Erika herself performed the song, titled "Roxie."

Erika played Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of "Chicago" before to the Coronavirus outbreak. Erika was forced to leave Broadway "weeks early" owing to the pandemic, according to People magazine.

"It's not how I wanted to say goodbye to Roxie and my Chicago family, but I don't have a choice." THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to everyone who came out to watch the shows. "I leave NYC feeling like my purpose is unfinished, but I will cherish this time forever," Erika captioned an Instagram image in March 2020.

While it's unclear whether Erika's post was tied to anything specific, it was uploaded just hours after Reuters published a report alleging that the reality star had received payments intended for the victims of the Lion Air tragedy — her estranged husband's clients.

The brief was filed in court on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, by the Edelson law firm.

"Far from ruling out the possibility that Erika received settlement money from the Lion Air cases, [the records] revealed the opposite: money that belonged to the surviving widows and orphans of the victims of that plane crash had, in fact, been used to make payments for Erika or her companies," the brief stated, according to Reuters.

Erika's lawyer reacted, claiming that he had never seen the evidence used to support the aforementioned assertion. "I'm not sure what Edelson is referring to, and he has neatly obscured or blacked out his stated references to supposed proof in his brief," Greenberg Gross' Evan Borges said.

According to Us Weekly, Erika is being sued for $25 million by the trustee in her ex's bankruptcy case while the legal proceedings in the embezzlement case against Tom Girardi and his former law company, Girardi Keese, continue. She's also waiting for her divorce to be finalized, which may take some time considering everything else going on.

Erika, on the other hand, is currently filming the next season of "RHOBH," and she appears to be in a much better position than she has been — at least, that's what she attempted to express in an interview with ExtraTV.

"Everything is fine," Erika added, adding that "life is moving in the right manner." Erika also stated that she is relieved to be able to put the final season of "Housewives" behind her. "It feels so fantastic to have the season finished... and to be on a much lighter route," she remarked.
