One of the UK's youngest mothers, who gave birth to her first child at the age of 12, is overjoyed with her new baby.

One of the UK's youngest mothers, who gave birth to her first child at the age of 12, has announced she is expecting another baby girl.

Tressa Middleton became the face of Broken Britain in 2006, when it was revealed she was expecting a child despite only having finished primary school.

It was later discovered that the baby's father was her own brother, who had raped her.

Tressa's struggle to come to terms with her ordeal led to depression and drug use as she struggled to come to terms with her ordeal.

But, with partner Darren Young, she has turned her life around, and the couple announced this week that she is around 20 weeks pregnant with his baby, the couple's second child together.

"It's another girl - Arihanna is absolutely delighted," Darren said on Facebook on December 7 after posting a scan photo.

Arihanna is the couple's first child, born in October 2017 weighing 8lbs 1oz after a 24-hour labor.

Tressa made headlines 15 years ago when it was revealed she was pregnant at the age of 11. She had had a difficult childhood because her mother, Tracey Tallons, battled addiction and Tressa was forced to attend late-night parties.

Jason, her older brother, sexually abused her since she was seven years old, and she became pregnant by him four years later when he raped her.

She kept the baby's father's identity hidden, and the two were placed in foster care until she broke down and told a social worker what had really happened when she was 14 years old.

As a result, her daughter was taken from her and adopted in 2008.

Jason, who was 19 at the time, was sentenced to four years in prison in 2009 after a DNA test revealed Tressa was lying.

Tressa, from Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland, expressed her disappointment at not being able to keep her first child.

"Arihanna will always know she has a big sister," she told the Sunday Mirror in 2018.

Even though she doesn't understand, I'm talking to her about it now.

She'll never be kept hidden.

"They're polar opposites - Arihanna is happy and content, whereas my other daughter is loud and feisty - but I'm sure they'd get along. "I tell Arihanna that if her sister was here, they'd play games together.

I sincerely hope they will be able to meet one day.

"In the meantime, all I want for Arihanna is for her to have a normal childhood, where she knows she is loved and safe."

"I felt pure joy the moment Arihanna was born," she added.

There were times when I believed I'd never have another child.

"However, I feel guilty because Arihanna is here with me while my older daughter is not."

After giving birth to a child in June this year, an 11-year-old is thought to be the UK's youngest ever mother.
