Police confirm a'suspicious' death after a'shooting' at a Tesla factory.
A PERSON has died after a suspicious incident occurred Monday at a Tesla factory in California.
At 3:26 p.m., the Fremont Fire Department responded to a Tesla report of a person down in the parking lot.
Before the subject was pronounced dead, medical assistance was given to them.
Homicide detectives arrived on the scene and took over the investigation.
On Monday, Fremont Police issued a statement regarding the shooting.
"On December 13,2021 at 3:26 p.m., Fremont Fire Department personnel responded to Tesla on a report of a subject down in the parking lot," it read.
"Fremont Police Homicide Investigators are on the scene and have taken over the investigation after firefighters provided medical assistance and pronounced the subject deceased."
At this time, it's unclear whether any Tesla employees were injured or involved in the incident.
Tesla's factory in Fremont is currently the company's only vehicle assembly plant in the United States.
According to Tesla's website, over 10,000 people work there.
