What Is the Plot for Season 4 of 'Virgin River'?
Virgin River, a Netflix drama series based on Robyn Carr's book series, follows Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge).
After a series of traumatic life events, Mel relocates to the small town.
She develops feelings for retired Marine Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), who owns the town's bar.
Despite their whirlwind romance, things haven't been easy for the couple.
In fact, we can expect a lot of drama in the plot when Virgin River returns for season 4.
Season 4 of Virgin River has just finished filming in Vancouver.
Because the show has already been renewed for a fifth season, we'll assume that filming will resume in the new year.
Season 4 will most likely take at least six months to arrive for fans who have been waiting for new episodes.
A series' post-production process usually takes a long time before it is released on a streaming service.
There are a lot of surprises in the Virgin River Season 3 finale.
From Mel's pregnancy announcement to Charmaine's (Lauren Hammersley) marriage, there's a lot going on in this show.
Brady (Ben Hollingsworth) was arrested, and Preacher (Colin Lawrence) was drugged and abandoned in the woods.
Season 4 will have to address a slew of issues.
Season 4 will most likely focus on Mel and Jack's relationship.
The bartender will have to deal with the possibility that he is not the father of her unborn child.
We're not sure how Jack will react to this news, and Breckenridge has even hinted that fans should expect a bumpy ride ahead.
"If it's not Jack's baby, Jack and Mel are going to have some difficult times ahead," the actor told E! News via Hello! "It would be immensely difficult. That would be extremely challenging, especially for Jack. If he's going to stick around, if he's devoted to Mel, that's gonna be hard to have a baby that's her dead husband's baby. That's just asking a lot."
In addition, Brie (Zibby Allen) will have to decide whether or not she believes Brady is to blame for her brother's death.
Charmine (Lauren Hammersley) is hoping to give birth to twins.
We'll see if Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale) and Ricky (Grayson Gurnsey) can rekindle their romance now that he's enlisted in the Marine Corps.
Hope (Annette O'Toole) will also make a return to Virgin River.
Brady was arrested by Detective Mike Valenzuela (Marco Grazzini) at the end of season three for allegedly shooting Jack in his bar.
Despite the fact that Brady and Jack didn't always get along, it seems highly unlikely that the former Marine would do something like this.
Mike and Brady aren't exactly friends, as fans know, and Mike is clearly concealing something dark from those around him.
Mike may have had something to do with the shooting and chose to blame it on Brady, according to rumors.
However, a new rumor is circulating that Jack's best friend Preacher, who co-owns Jack's Bar and works as a chef, was the one who pulled the trigger.
Preacher shot Jack when he was "sleepwalking with PTSD," according to one Redditor via Looper. Another fan speculated that Preacher and Mike collaborated to set Brady up and get him out of town.
Thankfully, showrunner Sue Tenney has stated that everything will be revealed in season 4. "The audience will be genuinely surprised at who's behind it all," Tenney said.
"If we get the actual reveal [in season 4], it would detail more of how all of this was intertwined," she added.
That story's webbing can be traced all the way back to the first season, so it's a four-season connective tissue."
