With righthander Preston Claiborne warming up in the bullpen, Conrad Flynn continued his impressive performance, striking out the first two BC batters of the inning and getting some help from his right fielder Cody Robinson, who made an acrobatic shoestring catch to finish off the inning. Through 6 innings, Flynn has a career-high 9 strikeouts.

Pat Dean’s unconventional left-handed delivery continues to baffle the Tulane lineup. Tulane has been unable to generate any sort of offense against the BC hurler, as he once again breezed through a perfect inning.

After Conrad Flynn allowed an infield single, Tulane catcher Jeremy Schaffer made the play of the game, throwing out Boston College’s Robbie Anston as he attempted to steal second. Flynn capped off the inning with a strikeout, his seventh of the game.

Boston College’s Pat Dean continued his dominant performance in the 4th with another 1-2-3 inning. On the game, Dean has only surrendered one hit and one walk with five strikeouts. BC remains on top, 3-0.

In what is quickly turning into a pitchers duel, Conrad Flynn posted his third-consecutive scoreless inning. After surrendering a lead-off walk, Flynn retired the next three Boston College batters.

Pat Dean responded to Flynn’s 1-2-3 inning with one of his own, striking of Brennen Middleton looking, rounding out Brandon Boudreaux to second, and popping out Blake Crohan in successive order.

With the help of some solid infield defense, Conrad Flynn breezed through an easy 1-2-3 inning.
